Terms of Service

Beta version.

Last updated: November 2, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ReporterHQ, a web application for court reporting organizations, provided by Queltech, LLC, a New York limited liability company ("Queltech," "we," "us"), at app.reporterhq.com, and the public website at reporterhq.com.

1. Who these Terms apply to

ReporterHQ is provided to organizations such as court reporters' offices. In these Terms, "your organization" is the one that invited you. You may use ReporterHQ only if your organization has invited you. By signing in you agree to these Terms. Your organization's agreement with Queltech, if any, controls where it differs from these Terms.

2. Roles: controller and processor

Your organization decides what information is entered into ReporterHQ, who may use it, and what each user may see, and is the controller of that information. Queltech provides the software and hosting and processes that information only on your organization's instructions, as your organization's processor. Our Privacy Policy, at reporterhq.com/privacy-policy, describes how information is handled.

3. Your account

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use ReporterHQ only for your organization's official work and to:

We may suspend access that we reasonably believe threatens the security or integrity of the service, and will tell your organization promptly.

5. Court information, sealed and classified matters

6. Ownership

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep ReporterHQ available and secure, but the service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control. We may change features; we will not reduce the protections for your organization's data described in our Privacy Policy without notice to your organization.

8. Disclaimers

Except as your organization's agreement with Queltech provides, ReporterHQ is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Queltech disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. ReporterHQ helps an office schedule and keep records; it does not replace the office's judgment, the court's rules, or your organization's own checks of assignments, leave and billing.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, and except as your organization's agreement with Queltech provides, Queltech will not be liable to you for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, and Queltech's total liability to you arising from these Terms or the service will not exceed the amounts your organization paid Queltech for ReporterHQ in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Ending access

Your access ends when your organization removes it or stops using ReporterHQ. We may end or suspend your access for a serious breach of these Terms, and will tell your organization. Sections 5, 6, 8, 9, 11 and 12 continue after access ends.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you and Queltech consent to their jurisdiction.

12. General

These Terms, the Privacy Policy and any agreement your organization has with Queltech are the whole agreement about your use of ReporterHQ. If any part is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms; we may transfer them with the business or to an affiliate, with notice to your organization. We may update these Terms by posting a new version at reporterhq.com/tos with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notifying your organization in advance.
